Rejin Leys is a Haitian-American mixed-media and book artist based in New York. Her work combines social and political commentary with an exploration of materials and techniques not seen in traditional Haitian art.
Exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, her drawings and prints have also been featured in such publications as Small Axe, Boutures, The North Star Fund’s Annual Report (2000 and 2005), and the Bread & Roses Cultural Project Social Justice Calendar.
Her current project, “100 Drawings,” combines images and ideas from her archives to reflect on the effects geo-political issues have on our day to day lives.
